At the Resort

Silver Sands resort offers a wide range of activities for you to enjoy during your stay, both on site, and around Mandurah. The resort caters for all the family. For the more energetic there are full and half court tennis facilities, a squash court and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. If relaxing is what you want why not enjoy the heated spas or a sauna. The kids can have hours of amusement on the super playground, mini golf course or in the childrens gamesroom.

Out and About

The ocean beaches cater for surfing enthusiasts, and the protected waters of the Estuary and the sandy Indian Ocean beaches are ideal for boating, yachting and windsurfing. Away from the water you can spend your time discovering the old farm houses, historic churches, parks, ferry cruises, local markets, craft centres, performing art centre, cinemas, wineries and excellent restaurants and night clubs that make Mandurah one of the most popular holiday destinations in Australia. Various activities can be booked through the Resort including:

  • A night out at the Mandurah Greyhounds?  Our staff will transport you to the greyhounds track for a scrumptious three-course carvery buffet in the members area while you watch an exciting night of greyhound racing.  Return trip included.
  • Perhaps a cruise? Mandurah’s premier cruise company has a cruise to suit everyone, dolphin and scenic canal cruises, a leisurely river lunch cruise taking in pristine wetlands bursting with exotic birdlife, a romantic evening under a blazing red sunset, or a party or wedding function on the water…there’s a cruise for everyone and every occasion,  and all cruising on Mandurah’s protected inland waterways.
  • Maybe a trip to an Island? Rottnest Island is located just 19km off the mainland and offers endless possibilities. Rottnest Island is an ‘A’ Class Nature Reserve and is widely regarded as one of Western Australia’s “best kept secrets”. It is home to spectacular white sandy beaches, secluded bays, unique wildlife, including the famous Quokka and colony of New Zealand Fur Seals, ship wrecks and a fascinating and colourful history. In fact, Rottnest Island has something for everyone.

If you have you own transport to explore the area maps and information are available from our Reception Staff. We are happy to provide you with information and brochures of attractions so you can start planning now.
